    Happy Easter! (Belated, that is)

Hey! I know I'm late but Happy Easter and I'll finally post about what happened for Easter. You see I never had the time to post this because as you know the Easter weekend was a public holiday and everyone is off, meaning I would either have to be at home or go with my family wherever they go for most of the time. In other words, I don't really have the chance to get much done...that is until today. Easter Monday has passed and my parents go back to work, meaning I have the house to myself and can do whatever I want, that also means I'll finally be able to get things done, such as this.

Actually now that I come to think about it, there really isn't much to post about Easter. The only things I have to say is about my new shoes and religious stuff. (yes, now don't you roll your eyes on me :P ,lol) I won't go into detail about what exactly happened because it'll be too long of a story to tell. Even though I usually don't talk much about my religion (religion's one of those topics I don't usually talk about unless it is somehow brought up and I wish to speak up about it; religion's one of those topics that causes sparks between people, sparks in a bad way) but since it was Easter, I just have to say it since Easter's a Christian thing anyways and I hope people would respect that. I just need to do this.
On Good Friday night, the youth group in our church had this service and I went there. We were reacting the scene of the Passion and reflect them onto ourselves. Like stations of the cross sorta thing. One of the things we did was to lift these 45 pound weights to represent how Jesus had to carry his cross and the sins of mankind. As I carried those weights across the room, they were heavier and harder than what I thought. And I was thinking to myself, these weights simply represent my own sins and they're already that hard. Jesus was a man like us, the Son of Man, but he had to carry the weights of everyone's sins. If the sins of one man were that heavy and hard to carry, then the weight of all the sins of mankind would be unimaginable.
Another activity was for us to go barefeet, step into buckets of mud, walk over this white sheet anf then we step into buckets of water and clean our feet. The impression I felt and got from this activity was that, Sin is like mud. It's cold, sticks onto us, dirty, digusting and unwanted. But Christ did what he had to do to remove sin from yus and cleanse us. My conclusion to all this is that this is simply too incredible. Cause trust me, what they said about humans being sinful is true. I'm sure all of you can agree that humans can be really disappointing and we just never seem to learn. We're not perfect, we have our evil dark sides that causes us to do things that we might sometimes intended to or not. But nonetheless, Christ didn't necessary had to do all He did for us because we're quite undeserving but yet He still did all that so that we may be forgiven, reborn to live a better life.

Now this is the best part, there was also another activity and its meaning was similiar to something I also learned in the other youth fellowship I go on Saturdays called Plan J. On Saturday, we spoke about the story of Lazarus, a man who was sick and eventually died, and his sisters in John 11. Lazarus was a man that Jesus knew and he was dying, his sisters send out word to Jesus who was away that their brother was dying. Jesus, not only didn't go straight away like any one would if someone they knew was dying, but he stayed where he was or 2 more days. But Jesus went there, Lazarus had already been dead for 4 days and Jesus said "Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him." (John 11:14-15) In the eyes of normal people, Jesus might have seem very cold-blooded. But the best is yet to come. So then the sisters came up to Him and said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." (John 11:21). You can imagine what their reactions would be when they had their hopes that Jesus would turn up when they pleaded for His help but didn't shop up until it seems like it had already been too late and nothing can be done. Jesus recalls what He said about those that believe in Him, the Son of Man, would receive life even if they died. Even though they believe in that, but they still had doubts and thought that it was already too late. But Jesus approached to the tomb of Lazarus, asked to open the tomb and told Lazarus to wake up and come out. And Lazarus was risen even though he had been dead for 4 days, there was no rotting or anything, he was okay.
This story reflect us in many ways. There may be times where we must face challenges and crisis and we cry out to God. Althought sometimes He might not show up immediately or we might not be able to feel his presense, that doesn't mean He has abandoned us. And when God does shop up, it might seem like it already too late, that what has happened has already happened and that all hope is lost. We
might become angry that nothing had been done earlier to stop things from happening but we must learn to trust in Him. Solutions don't just fall from the sky, we must wait for it to happen on its own and let Him take the action and do what's best for us. In the hour of darkness, the Lord will always send forth His light in time to come. The wait may be long and hard, but it is worth it!
In the same way, think about the day Christ died, Good Friday. His followers must have been very upset and discouraged when they saw their Lord being crucified, suffered and died. Everyone was looking down on Jesus, thinking it's the end. But the significant meaning of Easter is that Christ died for our sins and was risen to show the world that all that had been done was true, to give hope and to give new life for us. Therefore, even though at times it may seem like it's the end of things and that all hope is lost, there's actually something else waiting just
around the corner and we'll be so thrilled and surprised when it comes up to us, just like what happened to Christ and His followers. Afterall, God does work in mysterious ways in which us humans will never understand. I dunno about you, but all this seems very amazing me. Tell about "amazing grace" eh? lol, well God bless y'all! :)

Well moving on to a new topic. I bet you all must be very excited to see what my new shoes look like eh? ;-) (or probably not, but i was just being sarcastic, lol) Anyways, they're a pair of Nike that are black-and-white with a bit of red here and there. I deliberately chose something that's black-and-white because in our school, we're only allow to wear either black, white or black-and-white, no other colours. In fact, I'm pretty worry if the school would allow me to wear those to school if they have a little bit of red. Well, whatcha think of it?

    + Good Friday! +

Well it's Good Friday! God bless you all and I hope all of you are doing well. Right now I'm not capable of typing up an entry about what happened today because I don't have the time. I only wanted to type this up first so that I can say my greetings to everyone for the day before it's too late. Nonetheless I can tell you that I've got a new pair of shoes (these nice black-and-white Nike, YAY!), and we had a decent activities at church today for Good Friday. Tell you more later when I have the time. But still, I give you my best wishes and God bless you all! :)
