    Halloween

Trick-or-treat, where's my candy? Um, the normal thing to say would be "Happy Halloween" but I think it's rather crazy how you would say "happy" for a greeting in what it suppose to be a spooky holiday, lol. Nonetheless, "happy Halloween". Did anyone get any candies? Although I know i'm not a kid any more but still i'm still kinda one on the inside (i can be really two-faced, to be something and something else at the same time but they're all the same me) and still fastinated by that. I can't believe that i'm missing out the biggest candy-giveaway of the year. If I was back in Canada, right now I would have got like 3 garbage bags of candy already. BUt too bad, pity. Oh well, I just hope that I get to be there to do it next year. Hope you guys had a better time than me. All the best.

    Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving, to my fellow Canadians! Too bad I can't be back n Canada to celebrate it... :( Well last Friday was the Chinese's "Mid-Autumn Festival". You know, mooncakes and shit...To be honest with you, I hate mooncakes. Actually I hate all chinese desserts in general. Just don't like the taste of the stuff they put in. I would definitely take cake and ice cream any day. But this year we had "snowy" mooncakes (kinda hard to explain what exactly it is) and they're amazing! So yeah. Also instead of going out at night with lanterns, this year we stayed home and played with lightsticks. And I've been in love with these glowsticks since Friday. :D

The pics that I was suppose to put on on the previous entry, has been inserted. Look back and you'll see it. Also I forgot to mention one thing. About a day or two after I posted that entry, I had another injury. It was stupid really. During class, I kinda fell asleep and when I woke up and sorta lift my arms up, the pencil in my hand just scratched me right below my eye. It's like I had the pointed-side of my lead pencil pointing towards me and it just so happens to go across me. I was so lucky that it didn't got me in the eye. It was like 1 cm away from my eye. 0_ Last week has been like a week of injuries for me. After the bike incident, I have this and also one morning I woke up, having cramps on my left leg (the leg that didn't got cut during the incident) and it has been hurting for quite a while since. So basically for that week, I was a cripple, lol. BUt luckily, I'm alright now. Most of my wounds are healed and are not as bad as they are in the pics. You know, I noticed something. RIght now and when I was a kid, my body had good self-healing and can close up wounds and cuts easily, fresh and clean. But it was just the two horrible years I spent in China, where my body went bad. Like even a mosquito bite can leave a small scar and would take so long to be healed. Proves to show how fucked up China is. I despise that place...

I've always kept up with the news back at home in Canada (i even have these daily newsletters e-mailed to me every day) and I just read about this terrible tragic event that happened quite a while ago and was brought up recently again. You see, on 2003, there was this kid called Johnathon Madden (no, I didn't spelt it wrong. 'Johnathon' was spelt this way and not the usual 'Johnathan' way) who was attacked by his brother (then 16) with 71 slashes on his head and neck, and killed. The second court case about this has just happened about a bit more than a week ago. I was really disturbed and felt bad because this happened in the same place i came from and this kid would have been the same age as I am if he wasn't killled, and it's just hard to imagine how such a thing could have happened like that. Nobody deserves to be killed in that way, having a butcher knife cut 71 times on their face and neck. Especially not a 12 year-old child! Although I do not know this person at all, my deepest regards and sympathy goes out to him and his family. I hate to say this, but I kinda feel sorry for his brother, Kevin. He must have had serious problems to do something like that, and yet nobody did anything about it. If someone worked out his problems, maybe he wouldn't have went psycho and did something as horrible as that. As a matter of fact, not only did he killed his younger brother but he nearly killed his stepfather as well! It's just tragic that such a thing could happen and I'm not making this up, here's the wikipedia article on it (since wikipedia has the URL links to the other resources about this): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnathon_Madden . I guess all I can do is pray...God bless that innocent child, his family, those who are going through similiar problems and issue, and to each and everyone. Amen.

    when you push him around?
    Do you feel better now,
as he falls to the ground?
Well I tell you, my friend,
one day this world's gonna end.
    As your lies crumble down,
a new life he has found."

    New Happenings

Geez, it's been a while since I've posted. But here goes:
Remember the last time I've mentioned about me trying to organize a student council in our school? Well today I've finally had a meeting with the principal after school about my student council proposal. Throughout September, me and my campaign team have collected 496 signatures. The principal's reactions were somewhat ambigous and felt like a yellow-light signal, something that's neither red or green. Like he says he has positive feelings about this but then he made other comments that just makes me want to raise my eyebrow. He said that I should have a better organizing plan about all this. Like form bigger and wider connections with the different students in this school and to truly represent them and the school itself, and then I should have a better proposal about the timetable of what we're gonna do and what are our main goals to achieve this year and such, and who's gonna take over when we leave in a year or two. We're doing this quite politically and somewhat business-like and it's like that one problem in democracy, despite the fact that it's the by-far best system in my opinion, everything in democracy requires a lot of time and effort for it to happen. Everything must fit in...so I was told to try spending two more months organizing more. Well he says he likes the idea, but yet he doesn't really help much. Like he gives out these suggestions but I honestly think I'm gonna have a difficult time doing all this. I just hope my campaign team would work to expand this or else I'm giving up. So today's meeting was more like an understanding between the two.

After school and after meeting with the principal, I went straight to HMV to buy the new Evanescence CD, "The Open Door"! Evanescence is like my favourite band and I just have to get their new album as soon as it comes out on the first day today. The cool thing is that I only bought the CD for $99 HKD/$16.5 CAD/$12.36 USD and they also threw in a poster. Awesome. Yep, I need to do some (reasonable) *nudges the ladies* shopping to cheer me up after having all that shoved into my head.

Oh, and yesterday was an HK public holiday. On Sunday, it was the national day of China and since it was on Sunday, another holiday is replaced on Monday. So we had a long weekend and for this weekend, I joinned a youth group camp to "the other side of HK" (this time, Lantau Island). And yesterday I got to ride a bike and I haven't done that for a long time (and the ironic thing is that I just learned how to ride a bike 3 years ago and I haven't ride for 2 years) so it was good. But the bad thing was that I got an accident. As I was riding, Nathan (my little brother, in case you don't know) called me and I was answering the phone and such with one hand and the other driving. Just as I was going down this slope and trying to hang up, I saw that on the other side of the small road there was this van slowly driving towards. So i hit the brakes, problem is my hand was on the wrong brake. I hit the front brakes and for those that rode a bike, you're suppose to hit the rear ones first and then the front, otherwise you would stop with such force that it would send you falling. And since I was going down a slope, the force was even more powerful. So I ended up having my own body tossed onto the ground. Don't worry, the van didn't hit me. It was moving so slowly that it had several seconds to stop before hitting me. Anyways, I've these cuts on both palms of my hands and this long cut on my leg (about 7 cm / 3 inches) and then these minor scratches on my elbow, knee, shoulder, edge of my lips and right beside my eye. Also my phone got scatched as well. It didn't hurt me though, I just kept on feeling numb. BUt I'm okay. Fortunately, three minutes later, this guy passed by who spoke decent english and had this small first aid pack and help me treated the wounds. Lucky me. Therefore, lesson 101, never use the phone when you're driving a vehicle of any sort. :P

NOTE: I shall have pictures upload and editted onto this post once I have time to do so. See ya.
